Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor Trainee About the role As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at 'Lidell Construction Company, Limited', you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects in the Kwun Tong District. This full-time position requires strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to help ensure the successful delivery of our projects within budget and on time. What you'll be doing Provide general quantity surveying and contract administration services for pre and post contract which include taking off quantities from drawing. Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Carry out tendering works, contracts and subcontract documents. Participate in the procurement process, including sourcing materials, equipment and subcontractors. Evaluation of variation order, payment claims and settlement of final accounts. Monitor and track project costs, identifying potential savings and variances. Prepare progress reports and present findings to project stakeholders. Collaborate with the project team to resolve any commercial or contractual issues that may arise. Ensure compliance with relevant construction industry regulations and standards. What we're looking for Degree in Quantity Surveying or a Higher Diploma / Certificate in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. 1‑2 years of experience in a similar Assistant Quantity Surveyor role, preferably in the construction industry. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors and the project team. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and under tight deadlines.
