Research Grant Management Officer (Research Office) Add expected salary to your profile for insights Cluster / Department: Bureau Support, Strategy and Planning Division, HA Head Office Pay: HK$69,414 to HK$87,341 per month (including Monthly Allowance) Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities The post-holder will be seconded to the Research and Data Analytics Office, Health Bureau with main duties as follows: Provide executive, administrative and grant management support to the research funds administered by the Research and Data Analytics Office. Monitor the progress of funded projects and assess change requests. Supervise and coordinate the logistic support to the open calls and commissioning exercises, preparation of agreements, outcome evaluation, assignment of intellectual property rights and Journal Club. Prepare meeting papers and minutes, and provide regular update on Standard Operating Procedures, statistics and reports. Conduct User Acceptance Test for functions relating to research grant management at user level in the electronic Grant Management System. Assist in organising other publicity activities such as briefing sessions and symposia. Supervise junior executives and clerical staff. Perform other duties as assigned by senior officers. Entry Requirements A university degree or equivalent. At least 4 years’ post‑qualification experience in management function / respective profession / function of the post, of which at least 2 years’ experience is in junior management / professional level (e.g. EO II or equivalent level). Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Master degree or above in health‑related subjects (e.g. Public Health) or management. At least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience in research grant and project management in the Government bureau/department which administers research grants and / or local public funding bodies. Experience in processing research grant applications and providing administrative support to secretariat and committees. Proficient in common office software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing, and good knowledge of IT systems. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Responsible, self‑motivated, and able to work under pressure. Remarks Please refer to for “Notes to Applicants”.
