Assistant Vice President, Customer Experience and Portfolio Management We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President, Customer Experience and Portfolio Management. In this role you will: Manage a portfolio of Business Banking (BB) non-borrowing high risk segment by performing research, assess and conducting customer contact in strict compliance with all internal and external KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations and policies with on-going review Make recommendation on account strategies such that to ensure the successful implementation of BB de-risking strategies Protect the bank's reputation by knowing the customer and their business, monitoring suspicious behaviour, and taking appropriate action in compliance with established policy and guideline. Ensure compliance to internal and regulatory requirements on operations, credit standards, etc Increase relationship depth by anticipating customer needs, introducing solutions and providing superior quality services resulting in an increased portfolio in line with business appetite, together with a focus of customer acquisition of SME's and start-ups engaging in digital technology businesses Making quality business referrals to appropriate parties in HSBC, in strict compliance with all internal and external regulations and policies when available Explore new business opportunity and endeavour to provide quality needs-based solutions to relationships under his or her management To be successful you will need: University graduate with a degree in business, finance or a related discipline, preferably with some frontline and quality assurance experience in banking Have passion and fair understanding of technology Strong customer facing experience, preferably in financial service industry with the knowledge of new startup companies engaging digital technology business Good level of business acumen and international commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues Sound communication skills in written and spoken English and Cantonese, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage Self-motivated and driven to succeed in building strong relationships with clients Prior experience in commercial lending will be an advantage Details conscious with good analytical reasoning Opening up a world of opportunity HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
