you will be responsible for the following: Technical Strategy Planning: Participate in the company’s overall technical planning and, in alignment with corporate strategy, lead the formulation of departmental technical roadmaps and plans through multi‑dimensional insights encompassing user requirements, industry needs, technical performance, and competitive positioning. Establish technical milestones and metrics, develop implementation measures, execute in phased steps with effective monitoring, and assume responsibility for operational outcomes to ensure R&D activities remain consistent with the company’s overarching strategic objectives. Product Development and Resource Coordination Management: Lead the team in identifying requirements during product development, ensuring thorough understanding and decomposition. Establish tiered control mechanisms for core technical issues to guarantee smooth progression of all development projects. Process, Platform, and System Development: Oversee VSIPD process optimisation for the Kitchen Appliances NPD team, including detailed support design. Develop design standards and specifications to enhance team efficiency. Demonstrate cost‑consciousness through platform construction to improve reuse rates and implement design‑driven cost‑reduction strategies. Team Management and Development: Responsible for organisational structure, personnel deployment, talent identification and cultivation within the R&D team. Establish performance‑evaluation metrics to motivate team members’ initiative and creativity, enhancing technical depth, breadth of knowledge, and systematic thinking to resolve complex technical challenges. Experience/Background The candidate will have spent 8+ years in consumer product (NOT consumer electronics) design and development for international markets. This MUST include significant experience in motorized and heated products in categories such as power tools, blenders, vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, ovens, air fryers, etc. Recent roles will have included significant leadership responsibilities for technical design teams. The candidate must be able to demonstrate hands‑on experience designing and developing world‑class, successful products. Qualifications At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
