Job Description - Patient Care Assistant II (Electro-diagnostic Unit) (NTWC-S ) Patient Care Assistant II (Electro-diagnostic Unit) REF. NO.: NTWC-S Application Deadline: 1 January 2026 Date of Issue: 18 December 2025 Vacancy Notification Circular No. NTWC-S Position : Patient Care Assistant II (Electro-diagnostic Unit) Rank : Patient Care Assistant II Department / Cluster : Department of Electro-diagnostic Unit (EDU), New Territories West Cluster (NTWC) Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. Job Direct contact with patients and provide various supporting services. Assist in all care related services and procedures e.g. preparing and handling of equipment for clinical procedures. Clean and disinfect equipment and endoscopic accessories. Assess patient condition on admission: take blood pressure, body weight and body height. Perform non-invasive procedures e.g. ECG. Provide clerical support e.g. Book appointment, enquiry, retrieve and trace report. Regular check stock of equipment, consumables and responsible for ordering. Assist in management of medical equipment maintenance and repair. Maintain working area clean and tidy. Perform any other related duties as assigned. Requirements Completed F.5/ S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks); Completed structured departmental training. (see Remarks) Preferred Attributes / Exposure Passed in Mathematics in HKCEE/ HKDSE and good general education up to tertiary level or higher. Fluent in spoken Cantonese, ability to speak English and Putonghua. Good PC skills & knowledge in common softwares such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other MS Office applications. Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure. Applicants with relevant training / working experience in sciences or healthcare field desirable. Interest to serve and communicate with patients. Knowledge on statistics and research work. Remarks Please refer to for “Notes to Applicants”. Applicants who do not meet entry requirement (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training. Serving staff who completed F.3/ S.3 with at least 2-year care-related experience may also apply.
