Job Description - Patient Care Assistant II (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) (HKEC ) Patient Care Assistant II (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) - (REF. NO.: HKEC ) Application Deadline : 17 December 2025 Date of Issue : 4 December 2025 Vacancy Notification Circular No. HKEC Rank Patient Care Assistant II Hong Kong East Cluster/ Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital / Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Pay Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities: Provide patient care delivery and basic patient intervention according to nursing instruction. Prepare patients and equipments for clinical procedures and investigations. Provide patient education as according to protocol. Escort patients for examination or treatment. Assist doctor/nurse to perform procedure or investigation in ward. Perform daily disinfection, care and maintenance of medical equipment. Perform data entry on standard procedures. Perform and support clerical or reception duties and assist in inventory checking. Perform blood-taking duties after completion of relevant training on blood-taking in HA. Assist in clinical audit and data analysis. Assist the coordination work of patient flow. Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements: Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent; and Completion of structured departmental training (see Remark); Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken. Preferred Attributes: Post-secondary education or holding diplomas/certificates from recognized technical or tertiary institutions is preferred. Good communication skill. Fluency in Putonghua is preferred. Holding the certificate from technical institute in a relevant discipline. Experience in the use of statistics and data processing software (e.g. Excel, SPSS). 2. Applicants who do not meet entry requirements (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training including the structured departmental training .
