Senior / Junior Database Administrator (Oracle) Responsibilities: Provide database administration and support services on Linux and cloud platforms. Implement and maintain infrastructure solutions in high-performance trading environments that require stability, high throughput, and low latency. Support application teams with database setup, migration, and SQL performance analysis. Advise on operating policies, technical architecture, and database system configuration. Administer and manage Oracle Databases, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, and GaussDB, including monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup and recovery, stress testing, and capacity planning. Implement compliance standards and conduct regular system compliance reviews, proactively identifying potential exposure areas. Ensure high system availability and optimal performance of all database systems. Manage vendor relationships to guarantee quality delivery and implementation of solutions. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 8 years of experience in managing and supporting Oracle, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, or GaussDB databases. Advanced knowledge of Oracle database technologies, including RAC, ASM, DataGuard, data partitioning, load balancing, JDBC, ODBC, and integration with J2EE applications. Strong understanding of database high availability, security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards. Proficient in shell scripting for process improvement and automation. Experience with AWS RDS, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB is a plus. Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and stored procedures. Experience in system programming and administration on Linux platforms. Project management experience in large-scale technology infrastructure implementations. Proactive with excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills. Responsibilities: Design virtualization and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift) to support enterprise workloads. Develop and maintain the architecture of container clusters, including node planning, storage design, and network configuration. Automate the deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management of containerized applications using CI/CD pipelines. Evaluate various infrastructure solutions and emerging technologies to identify the best fit for different projects. Implement and support infrastructure solutions in high-performance trading environments requiring stability, high throughput, and low latency. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define system requirements effectively. Advise on operating policies, technical architecture, and configuration of infrastructure systems. Create comprehensive documentation for system architecture and design. Oversee the implementation of new systems and infrastructure projects. Establish standard approaches and configurations for infrastructure technologies, including monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup and recovery, testing, and capacity planning. Provide technical guidance and support to project and Business As Usual (BAU) teams. Review deliverables from project and BAU teams to ensure the highest quality of delivery and implementation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure support and system design. Strong experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies. Proficient in system and network administration. Hands-on experience in developing scripting solutions for process improvement and automation is advantageous. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of storage solutions and database technologies is a plus.
