Junior Database Administrator (Contract) The incumbent is responsible for design and implementation of the database projects in several locations (Cyberport, Tsuen Wan & Wan Chai etc). He / She is also responsible for database security protocols, data protection and damage control for cloud computing project. Responsibilities Responsible for the overall design and implementation of the database for the system with application and data migration support for Cloud projects Support for application and data migration of existing applications to the systems Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data against loss or corruption Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access or breaches Ensure databases comply with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards Facilitate database design and administration of IBM DB2, My SQL, MariaDB or Oracle Database Design and implementation of high-availability database clusters on cloud or virtualization infrastructure projects Requirements HD or above in computer science, Information Technology or a related field A minimum of 2 years in database administration, design, support or related experience. Familiar with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB SQL Server etc Knowledge of cloud-based database services like AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database. Familiar with scripting languages like SQL, Python, or PowerShell Experience in system programming and administration on Linux or Windows Platform Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) Interested parties please apply with full resume stating present and expected salary by clicking "Quick Apply" .
