China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”. Responsibilities Assist the Design Manager on all aspects of geotechnical engineering design works including piling foundation, ELS, slope stability, ground treatment etc; Provide technical inputs for geotechnical design and consulting assignments; Coordinate between construction team, clients, government agencies, design institutes, and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation; Assist in technical proposal preparation, prepare design documents and assessment report; Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 3 years of relevant design experience in geotechnical engineering or relevant sector(s) Candidates with previous experiences in working as design geotechnical engineer on foundation and excavation and lateral support works will be an advantage; Familiar with latest design standards/codes and government submission procedures; Knowledge of the geotechnical software especially PLAXIS, Slope-W and preferably structural software SAP2000 as well. Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills Able to meet various deadlines to complete tasks and project works assigned Self‑motivated with high personal drive for achievements and success Good command of both written and spoken English while Chinese language skills are preferred Candidates with professional qualification(s) are preferred Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Design Engineer.
