About the Role This is a high-visibility, business-partnering role combining strategic and operational finance leadership. Approximately 80% of the role focuses on best-in-class FP&A for the global retail and e-commerce P&L, while 20% is dedicated to strengthening internal controls and SOX-like governance in a fast-paced, high-value inventory environment typical of luxury retail. Responsibilities Own the global annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly latest estimates for Retail & E-commerce (covering 200+ doors, flagship stores, concessions, and digital). Lead the monthly financial close and performance review process, delivering insightful P&L, KPI, and cash-flow commentary to the CFO, CEO, and regional MDs. Develop and maintain driver-based planning models (store productivity, traffic/conversion, AOV, shrinkage, payroll efficiency, etc.). Partner closely with Retail Operations, Merchandising, E-commerce, Marketing, and Real Estate teams to drive profitability initiatives (e.g., store portfolio optimization, promotional effectiveness, staffing models). Lead long-range planning and scenario modeling for new store openings, renovations, market entries, and omnichannel investments. Build and present monthly/quarterly board packs and investor materials with clear storytelling and actionable insights. Continuously enhance reporting tools (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Looker, or similar) and automate dashboards. Co‑own the global internal control framework for high‑risk processes: inventory (consignment, memo, high‑value watches/jewelry), point‑of‑sale, cash handling, gift cards, clienteling data privacy, and vendor rebates. Perform risk assessments, document process flows, and maintain RACMs in a luxury retail environment. Coordinate control testing, remediation plans, and prepare for external audits (SOX‑ready standards). Partner with IT, Loss Prevention, and Legal on fraud prevention and boutique compliance programs. Lead training and communication of control policies to boutique managers and regional teams. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA/CPA/CFA a plus. 8-12 years of progressive experience in FP&A and/or corporate finance, with at least 4 years in luxury/premium retail, fashion, or consumer goods. Proven track record owning budgeting & forecasting for multi-channel retail (stores + e‑commerce). Deep knowledge of retail KPIs (sell‑through, full‑price vs. markdown, inventory turns, GMROI, four‑wall contribution). Strong experience with internal controls/SOX in environments with high‑value, serialized inventory and consignment models strongly preferred. Advanced Excel and financial modeling; hands‑on experience with Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, SAP Retail, or similar systems. Experience presenting to C‑level executives and private equity/family office stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear business insights. Fluency in English; additional European or Asian languages a plus.
