Join to apply for the Engineer (Power Systems/Transmission) role at CLP Contract Period Permanent/2-Year Contract Duties Assist in: preparing the feasibility study, budgeting, design and engineering of transmission circuit projects in accordance with statutory, safety, technical, cost, quality, customer requirements and project schedules from inception to project handover; planning, monitoring and controlling the project activities to meet the scope, schedule, budget with good and effective communication with government authority, utilities, contractors, customers and public for strengthening the business flexibility and resources; evaluating and selecting suppliers and services contractors to ensure they can meet technical specifications and engineering standards; and supervising transmission cable system operations, maintenance and improvement activities to upkeep asset performance, company’s supply reliability and system security targets Conduct quality assurance, pre-commissioning and commissioning tests of the installed circuits Liaise with suppliers / contractors in contract administration, vetting variation, site work measurement, conducting payment acceptance, negotiating and resolving claim and dispute Monitor the site safety, work quality and work progress of Company’s work teams and/or contractors Requirements A recognized university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent At least 3 years’ relevant experience in project management / engineering of transmission projects Familiarity with CLP Power Safety Rules, engineering standards and codes of practice is preferable Good safety awareness and mindset Ability to work independently and meet tight deadline Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage Customer-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player A valid Driving License class 1/1a or 2/2a would be an advantage Candidate with less qualification and/or experience but has shown good potential for further development will be considered for a position at lower grade.
