To support our continued ambitious growth in Energy, we have a new opportunity for HV Transmission Leader (Asia) to join in either Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul or Tokyo , a vibrant team of engineers offering engineering design for a full range of power generation technologies including the harnessing of wind, hydro, wave, tidal, geothermal, solar and biomass. Since 2001, Arup has provided engineering, design, business advisory, program‑management services on more than 50 offshore wind projects from pre‑bid to commercial operation phases. Arup has the skills and experience to be a trusted delivery partner across an offshore wind project’s lifecycle. Our team combines a blend of technical, commercial and advisory skills including structural, geotechnical and civil engineering capabilities, ports and maritime expertise, technical due diligence, program and project management, owner’s engineering, power systems engineering, and risk‑management consulting. Responsibilities Leading and developing a team of HV transmission consultants and technical design engineers for the development of an electrical energy portfolio in East Asia Act as the lead technical advisor to participate in tendering, contracting and commercial agreement related to HV opportunities which includes providing research statistics, engineering design, due diligence, feasibility studies and project management services Support to the energy advisory teams in the assessment of HV projects Work together with our existing clients to promote our HV business service offering Support the further development and enhancement of in‑house digital design tools to provide efficient and cost‑effective bespoke foundation solutions for HV projects Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevance to HV fields, such as electrical engineering Minimum 15 years’ professional consulting experience in HV projects and detailed design in HV systems in offshore wind Experience as a hands‑on project director leading multi‑million‑dollar fee engineering, advisory, or consulting professional services in the energy sector with demonstrated successful financial, technical, and relationship outcomes Experience developing teams to deliver the work that is won because of the business development efforts Sound understanding of commercial and financial issues in the winning and execution of professional services commissions Proven experience in HV projects design services as an owner’s engineer, technical advisor, EPB designer Fluent English skills (for other locations the local native language is preferred but not necessary) Contact Contact our Talent Acquisition Team at What We Offer You Arup cares about each member’s success, so we can grow together.
