Join the APAC Equity Derivatives Flow Vol , Automated Market Making (AMM) Technology Team in Hong Kong as a AVP Site Reliability Engineer. You will work primarily with Java, Python, Shell Scripting, GitLab, Bitbucket, TeamCity, and highly scalable trading platforms. You will build the robust and stable DevOps UAT and production environments with automation, ensuring low‑latency, high‑reliability for our equity derivatives trading clients, mostly hedge funds. To Be Successful In The Role University Graduate or above in Computer Science or a related field. Several years of strong experience in a production support / trade‑floor support role. Minimum 2–3 years of equity derivatives technology experience within investment banking. Experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Shell/Perl scripting, Java, and unit testing practices in a Linux environment. Experience with Windows, UNIX, Oracle PL/SQL, and Autosys. Understanding of DevOps concepts and agile software development methodology. Knowledge of higher‑level computer science concepts: data structures, algorithms, computer networks, architecture, operating systems. ITIL knowledge. Equity derivative product knowledge. Purpose of the Role Apply software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response to ensure reliability, availability, and scalability of systems, platforms, and technology through them. Accountabilities Availability, performance, and scalability of systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning. Resolution, analysis, and response to system outages and disruptions; implement measures to prevent similar incidents. Development of tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reducing manual workload and improving resilience. Monitoring and optimisation of system performance and resource usage; identify and address bottlenecks and implement best practices for tuning. Collaboration with development teams to integrate reliability, scalability, and performance best practices into the software development lifecycle. Stay informed of industry technology trends and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities.
