Responsibilities:

  • Lead product strategy and development for Octopus solutions in retail,  F&B & eCommerce sectors
  • Define and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with the company’s goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance payment solutions and customer experiences
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to drive product innovation
  • Manage product lifecycle from conception to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Liaise with business partners to explore new business opportunities and services for expanding Octopus’ Retail Business products & services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners
  • Perform project management on projects, including liaison with internal and external parties, project execution and monitoring, user requirement collection and risk assessment preparation
  • Keep updated on regulatory requirements and work closely with relevant internal and external parties to ensure the product and services are in compliance with the requirements
  • Devise product plans/ explore potential applications to bring additional revenue streams for long term business growth.
  • Prepare business cases and financial analysis for new business initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 8 years of experience in product management and/or hardware/software development, with at least 3 years in a senior role within the digital products/services areas
  • Experience in NFC and mobile payment products and projects, launching and managing digital products, with a strong understanding of mobile and online service markets
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market trends and business opportunities.
  • Able to communicate business user requirements to technical development teams, track the progress and control the unit cost and overall budget
  • Possess skills and knowledge to negotiate product development and unit costs with internal and external parties 
  • Knowledge in payment and digital solution development and rollout mobile payment, e-Commerce, CRM, web technologies 
  • Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with partners, stakeholders, and team members
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese
