Company Description

Our client is a reputable supermarket with a well-established ground. Because of business needs, they are looking for a General Manager for their flagship store to drive new branding and improve customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the flagship store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance the store's profitability.
  • Lead, train, and motivate store staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high performance standards.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Ensure the store's visual merchandising and product displays are attractive, on-brand, and optimized to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to maintain product quality, safety, and compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and product launches to attract customers and boost sales.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing overstock and shrinkage.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive shopping experience.
  • Prepare and manage the store's budget, including controlling expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail operations, visual merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
