Director of Equity and Leadership Development

Position Summary:
To help advance Teach For All's 25-year vision, we are seeking a Director of Equity, Leadership Development. This role will lead our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, foster belonging among staff, develop DEI capabilities across our global team, and ensure our systems and practices are equitable and inclusive.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and facilitating organization-wide learning experiences, reflection spaces, and structured fellowships. Providing coaching and consulting to teams, individuals, and senior leadership.This role is crucial for embedding our vision and values, centering equity, and fostering belonging among staff. The Director will work closely with the CEO, regional heads, and global team leads, and will be part of the Equity, Leadership, and Organizational Development (EL&OD) team within the broader People Circle. The Director reports to the Chief Administration Officer.

Increased percentage of staff who believe we've made progress in growing inclusivity. Increased percentage of staff who believe we value diversity, equity, and inclusion. Increased percentage of staff confident in their DEI journey, including navigating tensions, integrating an equity lens into their work, creating inclusive spaces, and working across differences. Positive feedback from the global organization on the quality of our DEI support and experiences.Description of Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a plan to focus on equity and inclusion, including strategies for reflection spaces, learning experiences, and leadership development for diverse staff. Collect and analyze data and feedback to continuously improve our equity practices and refine our systems and processes. Collaborate with executive leadership, team leads, and the People Circle to integrate equity into our work and track progress on key diversity and inclusion metrics.Learning Experience Design and Facilitation
Lead the creation and implementation of a fellowship program to develop diverse staff leaders. Lead the design and delivery of a foundational DEI course for global staff. Contribute to developing and delivering a DEI “advocates” series for global staff and network partners. Help design and facilitate a learning and reflection space to enhance team leads’ DEI awareness and capabilities. Support the development and delivery of additional leadership training for global staff.Coaching and Consulting
Thought partner with executive leadership, team leads, and other global staff members to reflect on progress towards centering equity in our approach Partner with teams to design and deliver tailored offerings that support teams in their efforts to grow their consciousness Thought partner with leaders of global operations team to ensure our organizational systems, processes, and practices are rooted in equity and inclusion Serve as a trusted coach for staff to discuss and address equity challenges they are facingWell-Being and Belonging
Work with the People Circle to improve staff well-being by fostering an environment where employees can build positive relationships, manage stress, and contribute meaningfully. This includes supporting programs for sponsorship and coaching, fostering community spaces, and implementing policies that promote wellness.Attributes, Skills, and Experiences needed to successfully live into the role:

Flexibility : Ability to navigate and lead through complex, changing environments while maintaining a focus on equity and inclusion Design and Facilitation : Proficient in designing and facilitating impactful learning experiences, workshops, and reflection spaces for diverse audiences.Coaching: Ability to support individuals and teams to integrate equity into their work and navigate difficult conversations. Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and dependent on country of hire, prior work experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Work Authorization
Please note, this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. All candidates must possess local permanent work authorization/permit in order to be considered.
Travel and Hours
Travel is possible when it is safe to do so and in accordance with local travel guidelines. Given that we work across different time zones, some non-traditional hours for early or later calls are an expectation of this role.
