Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. 

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Inclusion Lead and Senior Learning and Talent Development Manager, Hong Kong.

Principal Responsibilities

Strategy Development and Implementation

Vital member of Global and Regional Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development team, providing Hong Kong’s perspective and collaborating in multiple global and regional projects Brings the Group’s Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development strategy to life within Hong Kong, identifying where the strategy may need to be adjusted to accommodate the unique challenges Designs and leads sustainable inclusion culture change programme across HSBC’s Hong Kong market Stays current with the full Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development strategy and implement specific aspects in Hong Kong Identifies Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development challenges across Hong Kong market and works with central team and relevant business stakeholders to solve these issues Identifies opportunities for Hong Kong to pilot new and innovative solutions, sharing outcomes for wider HSBC benefit Partners with ASP team and global line Inclusion leads on commercial Inclusion activity where required Proactively identifies opportunities to remove duplication of effort and inconsistency between central Group; global lines and other regional Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development teams by close collaboration and careful planning

Project Management

Design and implement large-scale, complex Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development projects Ensures all project activity and documentation align with the HSBC HR Change and Implementation approach

Regulatory and legislative requirements

Understands specific regulatory issues/opportunities which impact the Hong Kong market Identifies and escalates key risks relating to Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development Leads audit-related activities including Management Action Plans

Policy and governance

Integrates Group Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development principles into regional policies and practices Aligns all activity to the Group’s Target Operating Model Is an ambassador for Inclusion across the bank’s Inclusion ecosystem including Employee Resourcing Groups

Data analytics, monitoring and measurement

Ensures accurate and timely reporting on progress towards HSBC’s Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development goals; analyses data and provides insights and recommendations to leaders Benchmarks industry best practices to support strategies and evaluate business/function’s progress Sets Hong Kong specific diversity targets in alignment with Group and Regional targets and aspirations

Internal Relationship management

Establishes strong relationships with senior stakeholders in Hong Kong, Head of HR and HR Centre of Excellence to determine how best to achieve an inclusive and talent development culture within their areas Engages with business leadership and communications teams to deliver impactful messages of Inclusion and talent development Partners with colleagues across HR to implement and monitor effective Inclusion, Learning and Talent Development solutions across the employee life-cycle Requirements

Essential Skills

Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills Advanced influencing skills coupled with the ability to challenge and change mindsets Extensive HR or relevant business experience within fast-paced, complex and demanding corporate environment Ability to multitask and deal with ambiguity

Desirable Experience/Knowledge

Strong knowledge in managing inclusion projects and agenda is essential Experience in learning and talent development and transformation Experience working in multi-cultural environments Strong programme management, presentation, and organizational skills Proven record of establishing and maintaining networking relationships and partnerships Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate optimally with all levels of employees Understanding of how to leverage knowledge to create competitive advantage, foster cross-functional collboaration, and promote holistic solution about human capital and organisational culture  Ethical, fair, exhibits sound thought-process and good judgment
