Main Responsibilities

Business Drive /  Focus 

  • Understand Brand’s DNA and direction, be fully aware of the product focus to strategise, customise and execute in-store layout, mannequin outfit styling and product display, according to each store’s customer demographics
  • Analyse store performance and merchandising reports, identify store’s performance gap and collaborate with Store Manager and VM to optimise store’s layout and product display
  • Conduct weekly VM meeting to discuss and brainstorm clear action plan and deliver key message to in-store VM Team
  • Conduct weekly store visits (e.g. usage of store VM checklist) with Area Manager & Store Manager to understand store VM standards and areas of improvement, and formulate action plans 
  • Support in-store VM team in executing plans and tracking on performance 
  • Design window mannequin displays to storytell Love, Bonito’s product launches
  • Initiate constant improvements and refinements throughout the store by testing different visuals and comparing results to achieve best-in-class practices

Team Management & Training 

  • Conduct weekly catch up with VMs, to understand their strengths & improvement points, offer support to queries, and ensure team delivers the best VM standards for store performance
  • Plan out, communicate and align with SMs on necessary training and development plans for all existing and new VMs
  • Attend all HQVM trainings, deliver and train up team’s VM knowledge and standards, ensuring all stores are well aligned on VM direction
  • Coordinate VM Basic + VM Model Store Training for all retail staff (prioritise on FT) in store, ensure and secure all team with basic VM knowledge and execution (HQVM to support if needed)
  • Conduct and co-manage the appraisal process for all VMs with SM to identify and develop the key-potential staff 
  • Support all retail team members in basic VM understanding and execution 

VM Fundamentals 

  • Execute and ensure stores practise according to global standards and guidelines set by HQVM e.g. usage of store VM checklist
  • Support VM set up for new store openings or by request 
  • Coordinate & manage all VM fixtures and equipment between stores & HQ; responsible for store consolidation and communicate with Retail Operations team for transportation arrangement  
  • Participate in Monthly Store Walkthrough with Country Manager; assist on elaborating store visual concept and planning; follow up on walkthrough comments with HQVM / Store Manager & In-store VM
  • Ensure all display touchpoints (e.g. mannequin) are well-maintained and match HQVM standards, during store visits
  • Manage and liaise with HQ & external stakeholders in terms of order quantity, delivery and store execution timelines for all physical  and digital in-store collaterals 
  • Manage VM budgets across retail stores
  • Monitor competitors’ visual merchandising techniques and incorporate relevant ideas into the business

  • Store visual budget

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on visual merchandising experience in the retail industry, preferably in fashion
  • Strong sense for merchandise presentation in product and with solid knowledge of material application is an advantage
  • Proactive, strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently
  • Able to work with tight schedule and under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in use of Adobe AI, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, etc.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Cantonese
  • Open to working various shifts and able to work 5 days a week (including weekends and public holidays). Weekends are where all the magic happens
