What this job involves

We are looking for a passionate, self-starter to help one of our major clients deliver their regional targets across their occupied real estate portfolio and supply chain. This role is responsible for delivering the environmental sustainability programme & goals of our client, while effectively engaging with key stakeholders across their business.

Working with the wider regional team operations team, you will be our account resource driving delivery of agreed environmental strategy and targets across our client’s regional business, monitoring and reporting on performance. Key will be your ability to engage and communicate with global, regional, and internal business units on the environmental sustainability strategy and targets in place.

You will be responsible for:

Supporting ongoing development of environmental strategy, initiatives and targets for a regional APAC portfolio. 

Assist with regional budget planning and reporting to meet environmental targets.

Manage the environmental data collection and consolidation process for ESG reporting. 

Monitor and report performance against agreed environmental targets and plans.

Work with operational teams to implement their roadmap and provide advice on how they can deliver against environmental targets.

Facilitate the delivery of site assessments and provide guidance on how to reduce emissions.

Conduct regular catch up reviews with key stakeholders advising on progress across relevant sites.

Maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.

Effectively tracking and communicating success stories to ensure a high level of awareness and engagement of the sustainability program is achieved. 

Providing strategic direction and guidance on ways to enhance service delivery to our client, 

Development and delivery of training and educational materials based on JLLs best practice knowledge from around the world. The Environmental Sustainability Manager will be an on-call resource for stakeholders to direct questions around implementation of sustainability and environmental obligations.

Desired experience and technical skills  

Required   
A motivated, proactive sustainability expert with a proven track record of successfully delivering best practice and quality to their client. You’ll possess a positive attitude with proven ability to build and maintain relationships and bring a strategic approach to complex challenges.

Possess a passion for sustainability issues and tertiary qualifications in sustainability, engineering with experience in property, building design, construction, commissioning, or management is required.

7+ years post education industry experience, ideally in a property-focused sustainability role with experience in external sustainability reporting.

Skills derived in a consulting, programme management, technical delivery, or client relationship management roles are also highly regarded.

Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of interacting and influencing a range of stakeholders ranging from site operations staff and contractors, to senior management within JLL and our client is a must.

Developing and improving systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance, monitoring, and reporting
