Responsibilities: 

Support the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to expand Jefferies private credit and debt capital markets business in Asia, with an emphasis on the SEA region.  Collaborate with the leadership team to identify market opportunities, assess risks, and implement effective strategies to maximize profitability and market share. Contribute to the origination of private credit opportunities across various sectors, including corporate loans, mezzanine debt, distressed debt, and special situations.  Responsible for the structuring and execution of private credit transactions, ensuring optimal deal structures and risk management frameworks.  Foster relationships with investors, corporates, and other key stakeholders to drive business growth and expand the bank's private credit offerings.  Liaise with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and risk management, to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deal origination, due diligence, and credit analysis processes.  Work closely with junior team members to provide guidance, mentorship, and support their professional development.

Qualifications: 

Significant experience in private credit, investment banking, capital markets or a related field, with a strong focus on structuring and experience within the SEA region. Proven track record of successfully originating and executing private credit transactions across various sectors. Strong understanding of private credit term sheets, credit analysis, risk assessment, and deal structuring within the Asia market.  Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks is essential. Leadership qualities with the ability to collaborate effectively and support junior team members. Excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, investors, and corporates.  Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  Degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
