Job Posting Details

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is looking for responsible, self-motivated and capable individuals to fill two Officer positions. In general, the appointees will be responsible for providing administrative support for program operations and outreach activities. Key duties include administering undergraduate programs, providing support for student activities and internships, coordinating outreach activities and marketing events, preparing publicity materials and newsletters, managing departmental social media platforms, performing daily office administration tasks, providing secretarial support to faculty members, and carrying out any other duties as assigned. Working outside normal office hours and off-campus may be required occasionally.

Applicants are expected to hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in administering academic programs and organizing events. Candidates with lower academic qualification but extensive relevant work experience are also welcome to apply. The appointees should possess a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) as well as good computer literacy. The ideal candidates should be attentive to details, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and good organization skills. They should be a good team player and able to work independently. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
