About HDJI Lab:
Founded in 2016 by Prof. Shaojie Shen (), the HKUST-DJI Joint Innovation Laboratory brings together HKUST, one of the leading universities in the area of robotics, and DJI, the world’s largest civilian drone company. It is a research centre with the aim of advancing future development of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies. The HDJI Lab receives major support from DJI in terms of joint PG programs, joint research projects, matching of government funding programs, equipment donation, and student competition supports. The HDJI Lab has received international recognition with Best Paper Awards in top robotics conferences, popular open source software packages, and significant technology transfer commitments.

The appointee will be responsible for managing the operation of different research projects within the lab, including but not limited to budgeting, inventory control, procurement, reimbursement, documentation, and publicity. He/She will assist faculty members in the HDJI Lab in grant applications and securing major government and industrial funds and assist the lab director in scheduling academic meeting(s), business trip(s), and other related agendas; liaise and coordinate upon request of lab director with other research centres, departments, and schools; and provide support to the daily research and academic activities of lab students.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or above. The appointee should be well-organized and detail-oriented, willing to take new challenges, and able to independently pick up new tasks with minimum supervision. Excellent communication skills of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) is required. (Duration: 1 year)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
