You’ll need to have: 

Significant experience of effective PMO and project controls leadership on significant/landmark/mega construction projects. Significant experience of leading the effective deployment of robust PMO and project controls strategies/frameworks and integrated project controls methodologies. Expert knowledge of risk tools, techniques and software (e.g., MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive, @risk, Primavera Risk Analyser). Ability to manage activities with significant uncertainty or ambiguity providing effective consultancy to clients and other key stakeholders to drive effective outcome/s. Strong business development skills and commercial awareness/acumen (e.g. cross selling Mace services into client organizations). Strong understanding of construction and related industry, trends, innovation and associated threats and opportunities.  Deep domain knowledge of providing PMO and project controls leadership in collaboration with external bodies, professional institutions and peers.


You’ll also have:

Experience of delivering a range of project services on major construction programmes or management consultancy. Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) or equivalent. Chartered (or equivalent) membership of relevant professional institution(s) e.g. Association of Project Managers Management successful programmes / P3O / P3M3 accreditation. Engages with peers within professional bodies and other forum to maintain professional knowledge and work across industry to advance the profession. Manages upwards effectively and constructively challenges BUD. Leads others effectively, gives clear direction, coaches and supports others to reach their full potential. Mentors and develops the project team and others in the business; provides a safe work environment to learn and mature, sharing knowledge and experience. Adapts and reacts well to changing priorities and requirements (both business and project). Demonstrates a growth mindset and explores innovative approaches, in pursuit of a better way.  Embraces new technology and helps others to adapt. Takes responsibility for their actions, leads by example and acts in an ethical, legal and responsible way. Understands personal strengths and weaknesses and introduces the right selection of skills and competencies to balance. Recognizes and actively pursues the collective power of diverse and inclusive teams.
