About the role:
In your role as Analyst/Associate you will assist senior members for GCIB APAC’s Coverage of Financial Sponsor activity. You will also work closely with different coverage and product teams including Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Project Finance, FI and Sector Coverage teams to drive and capture Sponsor-led investment and financing activities. You will also support the Sponsor-led M&A finance strategy under PGI and the coordination of sponsors needs in accordance with the regional account plans.
What you’ll be doing:
Prepare pitch books / discussion materials to facilitate thematic dialogue, origination of M&A financing mandates and strategic financing dialogue with financial sponsors Support senior team members in dialogue on financing transactions. Prepare call notes to document key internal and client discussions Support preparation of client plans using various internal and external data sources and compiling inputs from various coverage and product teams Help coordinate relationships with Financial Sponsor clients across Private Equity, Infra, Real Estate and Credit verticals Ensure appropriate coordination with different sponsor relationship teams including FI, LAF and Sector Coverage teams Ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are metWhat we are looking for:
2+ years’ experience at a leading Bank or Non Bank Financial Institution Undergraduate degree in a business related field Experience in debt transactions, developing presentations and, preferably a focus on leveraged and acquisition finance, relevant knowledge of financial sponsors Robust credit base with strong financial analysis skills Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments Action-oriented, energetic, influential, collaborative, and entrepreneurial Very strong MS Office skills with key capabilities in Excel, Word and Powerpoint Strong communication skills with ability to influence others Self starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of workstreams and projectsMUFG Bank Ltd & MUFG Securities Asia Limited (collectively referred to as “MUFG”) is an equal opportunity employer.
