Remittance Associate.

This prominent international bank employs over 500 staff at its Hong Kong branch and has a distinguished legacy of more than 100 years serving the Asia-Pacific region. This position is on a 1-year contract basis, providing the opportunity for contract renewal or the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance.Key Responsibilities:Conduct checks and authorize system releases for various remittance transactions, including incoming and outgoing payments, cross-border transfers, and customer account movements.Monitor transaction statuses, such as fund sourcing and account irregularities, ensuring timely completion of all transactions.Investigate suspicious activities related to transactions and follow up on cases as necessary.Generate funding movement reports according to established protocols.Utilize Excel Macros to match MT103 and MT950 documents for verification of filtering results.Support special operational tasks as directed by management, including collaboration across departments.Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures for transaction processing, maintaining vigilance against potential money laundering activities.Qualifications:Holder of a Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education with at least 5 years of experience in remittance operations, demonstrating extensive operational expertise within a banking environment.Candidates with a degree and less experience, but with strong academic or professional qualifications, may also be considered.Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.Solid understanding of compliance requirements related to payment transactions, particularly concerning anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism regulations.Proficiency in MS Office, with additional skills in VBA, MS Excel Macros, and Alteryx considered a plus.Fluent in both written and spoken English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.If you are passionate about corporate bank operations in an international banking setting, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.Seniority level
