VP, Investment Operations - Hong KongJob SummaryProvide portfolio accounting, administration and multi-currency reconciliation support for various institutional accounts and mutual funds in a cooperative, team-focused environment. Participate in daily and ad-hoc responsibilities in support of the firm's investment initiatives. Develop an awareness and understanding of the investment lifecycle and the role that operations has in ensuring complete and accurate enterprise data. Contribute to department and firm objectives with a high level of precision, professionalism, and moral standards. Cohen & Steers is committed to an inclusive culture, valuing diversity in support of our people and clients.Major Responsibilities/Activities:Daily transaction and position reconciliations as well as monthly position, market value and accrual reconciliations with timely research and resolution of discrepancies with custodians, brokers, or other partiesPerform trade matching in Omgeo CTM for all Asia trading; ensuring all trades are fully matched to broker records on trade dateWork with custodians, brokers, and traders to identify, investigate and resolve trade settlement issuesCollaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate trade booking for Institutional Offers, IPOs, and Secondary PlacementsCoordinate proxy voting instructions and carry out security set-up and maintenance and reportingMonitor, analyze and prepare communications related to the processing of various corporate actions eventsMonitoring and processing of client flows; ensuring prompt and accurate communication with Front Office.Assist with timely completion on bespoke client reporting deliverables.Liaise with portfolio managers, traders and custodians on a daily basisPrepare audit documentation as neededFrequent communication with internal departments globally (Investment Team, Trading, Relationship Management, Information Technology, and members of senior management) and external groups (custodians, clients, service providers)Assist as needed with special requests/reports/projectsMinimum Requirements:University degree, preferably in Business Administration,Accounting or Finance0 - 2 years of experienceDetail-oriented individual with excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required to facilitate relations between Investment Administration and our clientsAbility to speak /write Mandarin a plusDemonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectivesProficiency with Microsoft ExcelAbility to understand technological workflow processes across several platformsEnthusiasm and aptitude to become proficient with CNS' portfolio accounting system (SimCorp Dimension), trading platform (CRD OMS), portfolio reconciliation system, Omgeo, Bloomberg terminal and other critical systemsMotivated and willing to contribute with team responsibilitiesExceptional analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to organize, adapt and prioritize workload to meet deadlinesCollaborative, motivated and willing to contribute to the teamDemonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectivesWorking ConditionsRegular office hours are 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., with increased hours as necessaryAdditional CommentsIt is noted that the Investment Administration role will periodically necessitate working past the usual 6:30 p.m. normal office hoursNote:
