Its Frankfurt Regional Office is inviting applications for the following position: Director, Germany, Central Europe & Benelux(on-site position at our Frankfurt office)Key Responsibilities Report to Regional Director Europe, supervise the operation of Frankfurt Office, ensure smooth execution and delivery of projects by Frankfurt Office team; Promote and raise the profile of Hong Kong and HKTDC in Germany, Central Europe and Benelux; Identify business opportunities for Hong Kong in the designated regions in Europe, and develop promotional strategies and activities aligned with business needs of Hong Kong companies; Establish and build close rapport with high-level contacts from local governments, trade/industry associations, and other relevant multipliers to explore co-operation opportunities; Plan and direct outreach and marketing campaigns in Europe, such as briefing sessions, sales calls, sales trips, roadshows, etc. to promote recruitment of HKTDC's trade fairs in Hong Kong; Coordinate with and work closely with sales agents, as well as the 13 branch/consultant offices in the ECAI, to drive the recruitment of EDB's trade fairs; Give guidance to Budapest, Prague and Warsaw Consultants and ensure they comply with HKTDC's guidelines when they execute promotional projects; Support any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by RD/ECAI. Job Requirements A recognised university degree with at least 15 years of solid working experience, including a minimum of 8 years in a managerial role, is required; Professional experience in event marketing and management, including organising trade fairs, delegations and other trade promotional activities; together with good knowledge about international relations in the European context; A good team player and leader with strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; and familiar with office administration and operations management; Good network with local business community as well as multipliers, government bodies etc.; Excellent understanding of the business environment in Hong Kong, Mainland China as well as the geographical territories covered by RD/ECAI; Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Chinese and any other European language will be a definite advantage. Remuneration and Benefits Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
