Executive Director/Head of Technology Risk (FS industry Circa 1.8M-2.5M)

Main Responsibilities:Oversee and guide the company’s approach to technology risk governance, ensuring that insights and observations are effectively reported. This includes preparing materials for regular meetings with the Board and executives, defining the Group's risk appetite, developing risk policies, and managing metrics and risk control assessments.Stay alert to emerging technology risks and innovations (such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing). Quickly communicate significant risk findings and their implications to senior management and relevant stakeholders, offering strategic advice for risk mitigation.Build and nurture productive relationships with both internal and external partners, including regulators, law enforcement, industry colleagues, and collaborators.Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with new legal and regulatory standards and align with industry best practices, particularly in cyber and operational resilience.Plan and conduct regular intelligence-based cyber-attack simulation drills (red team) in accordance with industry guidelines and regulatory expectations.Develop and implement training initiatives to raise cyber awareness among employees.Provide practical and insightful guidance on technology risk issues, along with constructive feedback on the company’s risk management practices and strategic projects.Exercise oversight on technology risk matters for international Group entities.Qualifications and Skills:A strong leader adept at building consensus and conveying technology risk information to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, including the Board and executive committees. Proficiency in Chinese and Putonghua is a plus.A bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of experience in technology risk management, ideally within the financial services sector or professional services for banking and finance. Proven ability to manage teams effectively from both strategic and technical perspectives.A comprehensive understanding of best practices in technology risk management. Experience in enhancing operational resilience and managing risks associated with cloud and artificial intelligence projects is beneficial.Relevant technical certifications (like CISA or CISSP) are required, with additional qualifications in emerging technologies and cyber-attack simulation considered advantageous.Seniority level
