What this job involves Develop and implement workplace safety policies, programs, and procedures Conduct inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions Conduct safety training sessions for employees to emphasize adherence to protocols Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions Collaborate with departments to address safety concerns and develop risk mitigation strategies Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, making recommendations as needed Support the Safety Officer in emergency response planning and drills Assist in maintaining safety documentation, including manuals and procedures Sound like you? To apply you will have: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant degree/certification in safety management preferred Proven experience in a similar role, strong understanding of safety regulations/standards Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), effective at all organizational levels Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and positive attitude towards safety Candidates with less experience considered for Safety Supervisor role If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
