Job DescriptionRisk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks. We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure that appropriate balance is considered in risk/return decisions. In addition, RMG is responsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. To manage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesFormulate, review, and update local bank-wide operational risk policies, guidelines, processes, and procedures pertaining to Operational Risk Management.Provide governance over the implementation of Operational Risk Management Framework with 1st Line Business/Function owners and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure consistent implementation and reporting of Operational Risks across all Business and Functions.Provide an independent 2nd line challenge function to the CBG and Wealth Management Business (including support units) on their risk & control assessments, control testing activities and adequacy of any remedial actions to ensure proactive identification and managing of risks.Provide independent 2nd line review and signoff on New Product Approvals, Non-IT outsourcing initiatives, Third Party Risk Management and Change Management.Perform relevant thematic reviews and deep dives in areas of concern and monitor lessons learned actions across CBG and Wealth Management Business & Support Units.Lead annual review risk appetite statements and metrics in conjunction with CBG and Wealth Management Business by performing both qualitative and quantitative monitoring and reporting of the Business exposure to all types of operational risk.Undertake scenario analysis/assessment in conjunction with Finance and Business to identify potential operational losses and monitor operational risk profiles and material exposures to losses on an ongoing basis.Undertake consistent liaison and collaboration with relevant Subject Matter Experts such as Technology Risk, Third Party Risk, CISO, Technology and Operational, Legal and Compliance, Human Resources, Fraud, Business Continuity Management, Change Management, Data Risk Management and Finance on operational risk related matters.Promote positive risk culture and risk awareness across the Bank.Conduct training sessions on operational risk across the Bank, including content review and training delivery.Maintain oversight and monitoring of the operational risk management system and the quality of the generated operational loss data.Compile operational risk reports, dashboards, and metrics for management reporting.RequirementsDegree holder (or equivalent) in Finance or business-related discipline.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CBG and Wealth Management Business and at least 12 years of working experience in a financial institution, with working in operational risk management roles including first or second line of defense.Sound knowledge of MAS and HK regulatory requirements related to Operational Risk / Operational Resilience / Internal Controls.Experience in CBG and Wealth Management with related in-depth product knowledge.ECF-ORM (core / professional) certification obtained.Strong persuasive power in putting ideas across and ability to communicate with people of different levels.Growth mindset and team player.Apply NowWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package and the professional advantages of a dynamic environment that supports your development and recognises your achievements.We regret only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
