To uncover crucial evidence of diseases, empowering healthcare providers to develop effective solutions for patients.Role Description:This is a full-time on-site role at B.Y. Quantitative Medicine Limited in Hong Kong. In order to facilitate our new projects, we are looking for motivated Scientist/Scientist Associates to join our winning team.Responsibilities:Engaging in genetic research for various critical diseases, such as cancers, viral infectious diseases, degenerative diseases, and metabolic diseases.Building a big data and machine learning analytic model with high precision for healthcare services, and pharmaceutical and insurance sectors.Research and process new patient data series to further validate our existing modules.Learn to pre-process new patient data series from NCBI with R, MATLAB, and Excel.Obtain and process patient datasets for other cancers to establish our database for future cancer modules' development.The Successful Applicant:PhD or MSc in Biomedical Science, System Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, and Biostatistics or related disciplines will also be considered.Preferably 2 years of working experience in R&D industry.Familiarity with biostatistics, bioinformatics, NGS analysis, big data, and machine learning technologies and analytic tools (Python, R, MATLAB, SVM, etc.).Experience with single-cell technology and analysis will be an advantage.Familiar with registration regulation, compliance, and other international standards, e.g. FDA, CFDA, etc.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills and a high level of self-motivation are required.Good command of both spoken and written English.Ability to communicate in Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) is an advantage.Positive and 'Can Do' attitude.What We Offer:5-day work.On-the-job training.Dynamic working environment.Medical Coverage.Seniority level
