Job Description

Hong Kong Metropolitan University Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education is seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time Instructor position. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching various courses in the following subject areas on a part-time basis:

  • Accounting and Finance
  • Basic Medical Science (e.g. Anatomy and Physiology, Human Pathophysiology, Microbiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Pharmacology)
  • Business and Management (e.g. Advertising, Marketing and Digital Marketing)
  • Chinese Architecture Appreciation
  • Chinese Culture Appreciation (using Putonghua to teach)
  • Chinese Language
  • Chinese Language (using Putonghua to teach)
  • Chinese and Putonghua for Diploma of Applied Education (DAE)
  • Civil Engineering (e.g., Advanced Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Physics, 3D Building Information Modelling, Construction Technology for DAE)
  • Communication Skills / Career and Life Planning for Diploma of Applied Education (DAE)
  • Creative Culture, Media and Arts Practice (e.g. Creative Industries, AI/Digitalization, Multimedia Production, Design Thinking, Visual Storytelling, Art Direction, Animation and Film)
  • Digital Citizenship for Diploma of Applied Education (DAE)
  • Disciplinary Forces (e.g. Police Force, Fire & Ambulance Service, Immigration Service, Customs and Excise Service, Correctional Services)
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Fashion Design and Fashion Business
  • Intangible Cultural Heritage
  • Interior Design
  • Japanese Culture (e.g. Japanese Popular Culture, Japanese Media and Society, Japanese Culture and Ethnicity)
  • Japanese Language
  • Mathematics for Diploma of Applied Education (DAE)
  • Nursing (e.g. Basic Caring Skills and Health Assessment, Elderly Care Nursing, Fundamental Health Interventions, Fundamentals of Nursing and Health Promotion, Ethical and Legal Issues in Healthcare)
  • Pet Care and Grooming
  • Psychology (e.g. Research Methods and Statistics, Biological and Cognitive Psychology, Learning and Motivation, Health Psychology)
  • Putonghua
  • Supplementary Health Care Subjects (e.g. Chinese Medicine, Dispensing, Food and Nutrition, Public Health, Community Health Care, Sociology and Health, Digital Health Management, Applications of Gerontechnology)
  • Veterinary Physiology and Nutrition

The appointee will also be responsible for teaching courses in Part-time Professional Programmes and Corporate Training Programmes.
