The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Officer (Building Services). The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the University's mechanical and electrical installations in the Staff Quarter and Student Hostel (SQSH) unit of Building Services. Key duties include supervising maintenance contractors, leading performance improvement initiatives, designing and preparing specifications for maintenance works, and ensuring efficient and effective services to users. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level. Strong analytical and organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. The appointment will be for 2 years, renewable. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, and fringe benefits will be provided. Please apply on or before 20 July 2024.
