We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Manager to join our team at City University of Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of electrical systems and interfaces with other building services systems across our campus.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure electrical installations comply with statutory requirements and regulations.
- Design, install, test, and commission electrical systems, including LV switchboards, emergency generators, UPS, and local motor control panels.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and certification of electrical installations, including WR2 and E&M installations in laboratories and BMS control for building services.
- Manage E&M improvement works, including design, tender preparation, budget estimation, contract administration, and technical submissions approval.
- Prepare works orders for minor repair works and supervise in-house staff and contractors for routine and emergency maintenance, repair, and inspection works.
- Investigate failures and prepare reports.
- Assist in implementing energy-saving initiatives and safety and technical training.
- Attend to emergency calls and perform other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Building Services or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A registered electrical worker (Grade B0) with a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as a "Green Card").
- At least 10 years' hands-on experience in operation, maintenance, or project works related to electrical installation operation and maintenance.
- Good knowledge of design and operation of electrical installations and systems in compliance with statutory regulations.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong sense of risk awareness and responsibility, commitment to teamwork, good interpersonal skills, and ability to manage in-house and outsourced works.
- Substantial electrical work experience in higher education institutions.
A highly competitive remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience, including a fixed-term contract, gratuity, leave, medical, and dental schemes.
