Job Description

The Career Works Limited is seeking a highly skilled Server Engineer to join our team. As a Server Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical guidance and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide level II and level III technical support to our clients, working closely with our service delivery team to resolve IT infrastructure issues.
  • Infrastructure Management: Act as a senior Level II / subject matter expert / Level III engineer, responsible for monitoring client infrastructures and executing preventive measures to prevent problems from occurring.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with our helpdesk team leader to provide top-level service to our clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Infrastructure Advice: Provide infrastructure advice both internally and to clients on improving system efficacy, stability, performance, and security.
  • Project Execution: Work with other teammates to design and execute technology solutions / projects.
  • Team Development: Develop junior teammates on technical skill sets.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain update records of client's IT infrastructure.
  • Culture and Standards: Understand and deploy company culture and standards.
Requirements
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Fluency in spoken Mandarin would be an advantage.
  • Time Management: Ability to deliver results in an efficient manner in constrained timeframes.
  • Stress Management: Able to work under stress.
  • Industry Certifications: Industry certifications would be an advantage (such as MCSE / MCITP, Microsoft MS / AZ, VCAP, VCP, CISSP, CISA, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Solid and strong hands-on experience on Microsoft Windows Server technologies is a must.
  • Infrastructure Experience: Solid and strong experience with multi-sites infrastructure deployment.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, within the company and at all levels of clients.
  • Experience: 5+ year experience in a technology support role.
  • Senior Experience: 3+ year experience and above in an senior engineer role.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a service provider environment is an advantage.
  • Education: Diploma or above in fields of Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent.
