About the Information Technology Department

Position Overview

We are currently in search of a distinguished professional to fill the role of Senior Cyber Security Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute Cybersecurity services and best practices.
  • Collaborate with global, regional, and local representatives of Technology, along with peer managers, to achieve team objectives within policy, budget, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Embed best practice management and facilitate transformational change.
  • Establish controls for Cybersecurity risks and ensure adherence to risk policies within the organization.
  • Provide expert advisory services to IT and business units regarding cyber security issues, including risk assessments, incident response strategies, and security awareness initiatives.
  • Support Cybersecurity efforts in alignment with the IT Security Target Operating Model.
  • Contribute to the Cybersecurity strategy to safeguard the bank's technology infrastructure while upholding HSBC's values and stakeholder interests.
  • Monitor and assess security incidents, conduct investigations, and coordinate prompt responses to security breaches.
  • Lead and manage security initiatives, including the adoption of new security technologies and vulnerability management programs.
  • Conduct regular security evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Stay informed about emerging cyber security threats and trends, proactively recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the design and implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Guide and support colleagues within the Cybersecurity team to establish a leading Cybersecurity Service that addresses evolving information security challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with internal audits and external regulations, ensuring organizational changes meet necessary standards.
  • Enhance IT and information security education and awareness initiatives within the organization.
  • Remain knowledgeable about the regulatory environment in Hong Kong and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with over 10 years of experience in cyber security, IT operations, IT audit, or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, including experience with gap analysis and control design.
  • Hands-on experience with industry best practices and regulatory frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27000-series, NIST, and COBIT.
  • Preferred knowledge in areas such as DevOps, Cybersecurity, Hybrid Cloud, or Machine Learning.
  • Possession of professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA, or CEH is advantageous.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and their security implications.
  • Strong technical skills in implementing IT security and risk management programs.
  • Excellent managerial, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills across all management levels.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and a service-oriented mindset to ensure efficient customer service processes.
