Project Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Automated People Mover Project Manager to manage the implementation of Automated People Mover (APM) system at Airport Authority Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage work contractors for project implementation and provide professional advice on technical and quality issues.
  • Review submissions, method statements, design drawings, O&M manuals and as-constructed drawings.
  • Identify design and construction issues of the new Automated People Mover (APM) cars and liaise with maintenance and operation teams and work contractors to provide effective solutions.
  • Ensure new APM cars and other APM enhancement projects are complied with the latest design codes and practices, international standards, the Authority's requirements and relevant statutory requirements, environmental and safety requirements.
  • Provide engineering support to operation and maintenance team.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on interfaces of the new APM cars contract with the existing APM System.
  • Assist in liaising with statutory bodies on the approval of the new APM cars for passenger service.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 6 years' working experience of which 3 years' technical experience in APM, railway, rolling stock, signalling, communication, power distribution, platform screen doors or systems assurance.
  • Professional qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines gained from recognized professional bodies is preferred.
  • Experience in design, construction, testing and commissioning, contract management, interface management and site supervision in brown field upgrade or refurbishment project is preferred.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with good interpersonal, communication, analytical, negotiation and organization skills.
  • Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua and/or Japanese is an advantage.
