Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Data Business department as a Data Business Strategist.

You will play a significant role in shaping our data product, a growth business within the group.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the team in platform development and project management, requiring a good blend of business and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of the Data Strategy, supporting product managers in project delivery and ongoing development of the Data Marketplace platform.
  • Providing end-to-end project management for business initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Developing detailed project plans to monitor progress, coordinating internal resources and vendors for smooth execution.
  • Preparing and coordinating procurement of vendor services, working with internal and external stakeholders in agreement negotiation and risk & control clearance.
  • Driving cross-divisional collaboration with IT, Legal, and 2nd line of defense, working with internal stakeholders to identify risk factors and mitigation plans, supporting internal committee and board approval processes, and ongoing governance procedures.
  • Creatings and maintaining all project documentation, developing and preparing content for committee approvals, project steering committees, management updates for senior management, and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding client workflows and challenges, helping the team design and implement platform functionalities to streamline business workflows and implement operating models.

Requirements:

  • A relevant university degree or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in data business, trading, and investments, financial industry, or relevant fields.
  • Solid project management experience, familiar with change management activities and vendor management; experience in data industry, cloud platforms, and storefront development would be an asset.
  • Experience in end-to-end management of business initiatives, services, or product rollouts highly preferred. Good understanding of business processes and ability to manage business stakeholders is a must.
  • The successful candidate will work primarily to support Product Managers/Business Owners.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects according to agreed scope, budget, and timeline.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and high agility, excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, strategic thinking, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, both written and verbal.
