Job Description

This position supports the Head of Corporate Compliance, AIA International Limited and other Compliance functional leads with the execution and management of corporate compliance-related activities, focusing on regulatory compliance requirements and reporting.

The role will lead the coordination and preparation of Compliance reporting for senior management meetings, including Board committees and Compliance and Risk-related committees covered by AIA International Limited. Additionally, the position will support and lead the implementation of regulatory compliance programs and requirements, covering activities under AIA International Limited's oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Management Reporting and Risk Awareness (30%):
  • Coordinate with Compliance functional leads to prepare compliance risk management reporting for senior management, Boards, and committees, designing templates and cadence for efficient resource utilization.
  • Identify cross-compliance risk trends, ensuring senior management is informed, preparing presentations and briefings as necessary.
  • Support departmental initiatives, contributing to compliance communication/awareness activities, publications, and relevant training.
  • Regulatory Compliance Framework and Policy Management (20%):
  • Support and lead the effective implementation of regulatory compliance frameworks to ensure identification and addressing of relevant regulatory developments issued by HK and Macau financial regulators.
  • Liaise with Law, Group Compliance, and relevant departments to ensure timely, complete, and high-quality input into the Regulatory Database.
  • Coordinate the implementation of compliance policies and guidelines in business units, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in investigating, analyzing, and reporting compliance incidents to manage and remediate regulatory breaches or significant compliance matters.
  • Regulatory Compliance Program Management (30%):
  • Ensure effective implementation of relevant regulatory compliance programs assigned by the Head of Corporate Compliance, AIA International Limited, for both AIA International Limited and AIA Macau branches.
  • Develop guidelines, templates, and presentations to improve program management and execution, as well as other regulatory compliance guidelines issued by relevant financial regulators.
  • Enhance business and functional partners' awareness of relevant risk areas through ongoing engagements, communications, and training.
  • Support managing committees overseeing relevant regulatory compliance programs, as necessary.
  • Compliance Transformation and Projects (20%):
  • Support the Head of Corporate Compliance in identifying areas requiring improvement from a three lines of defense perspective, focusing on corporate compliance-related activities.
  • Recommend and lead initiatives to ensure embedment and reassignment of identified activities.
  • Support the Head of Compliance, the Head of Corporate Compliance, and senior management in managing and leading departmental projects, as directed.
