Job Summary

DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Compliance and Risk Management team in Corporate and Investment Banking. As Senior Vice President, Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team, and identifying and mitigating potential risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the team to conduct periodic reviews and timely respond to triggered events to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
  • Provide strategic direction, guidance and support to the team and ensure the efficient and effective completion of Compliance and Risk reviews
  • Identify and mitigate potential risk, provide insights and recommendations to enhance the Compliance and Risk processes
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive, collaborative and productive work environment and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and enhance work standards and processes to optimize quality, efficiency and compliance
  • Stay up-to-date on the regulatory requirements and industry trends, proactively monitoring evolving risk and requirements

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in banking industry, with a proven track record of success in managing a sizeable team and implementing related Compliance and Risk measures to mitigate the risk of the bank
  • In-depth understanding of Compliance and Risk regulations and best practices, including the AML/CFT and KYC requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, regulatory authorities, and collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate Compliance and Risk risks and make sound decisions
  • Excellent command of English and Cantonese, with strong written and verbal communication in both languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel & Powerpoint
  • Professional qualification of CAMS or equivalent is a plus
