Position Overview
The HDJI Lab is on the lookout for a passionate, self-driven, and academically distinguished individual to fill the role of Research Assistant Professor. We are currently looking to recruit two candidates for this position, focusing on various interdisciplinary fields.
Our lab is engaged in a variety of projects, including but not limited to:
- Robotics SLAM
- Robotics Motion Control
- Robotics Decision Planning
- Machine Learning, Image Processing, and Computer Vision
- Multi-Sensor Fusion (Visual, Lidar, IMU, etc.)
- Robotics Mechanical Structure Design
- Embedded Systems
The selected candidates will be tasked with exploring and creating innovative solutions and prototypes within the realm of construction robotics. Additionally, they will contribute to project-based innovative engineering education and oversee course-related projects.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a PhD in computer, electronic, or mechanical engineering, demonstrating strong abilities in problem identification and resolution. Teaching or learning experience in innovative engineering, industrial design, or product design is preferred. Ideal candidates should be capable of leading practical tutorials and possess excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua). The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively is essential. Previous experience in industry or start-ups is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The working location will be at the HDJI Lab, and the initial salary will be aligned with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, including annual leave and medical and dental coverage, will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be awarded upon successful contract completion.
