Contract Compliance Team
The Contract Compliance team at Marriott International plays a crucial role in ensuring that our operations adhere to contractual agreements and billing configurations. This team works closely with internal departments to establish and maintain a global governance framework, ensuring that it is executed by accountable parties.
Scope and Business Context
Contract Management
- Responsible for entering hotel agreements financial provisions timely and accurately in the contract engine database, updating amendments as needed.
- Closely coordinate with hotel finance teams to ensure their understanding of contract terms, reporting, approvals, and billing requirements.
- Act as a key coordinator for contract compliance processes, analyzing and flagging issues, and preparing recommendation reports for the manager.
- Support the manager in validating contract clauses for global contract engine certification and billing configuration.
- Liaise with the global billing team to set up hotel openings profiles within the billing system, ensuring timely and accurate setup according to hotel agreements.
- Identify atypical clauses and incorporate them into contract applications efficiently and effectively.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Support the Continent in optimizing AR delinquency by identifying areas of improvement on billing disputes, utilizing contract terms to facilitate the collection process.
- Prepare monthly AR reconciliation, including AR write-off and bad debt provision.
- Provide weekly AR status updates.
Other Responsibilities
- Prepare training materials and arrangements for hotel finance teams for new onboarding.
- Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the manager.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 3 years of experience in audit, accounting, and reporting analysis are required.
- Experience in contract management and process improvements design and implementation is a plus.
Education and Certification
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- Professional qualification such as HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes
- Knowledge in internal control concepts and practical applications.
- Ability to manage multiple and concurrent tasks to meet deadlines.
- Self-driven and motivated, not afraid to take on new tasks.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and individually.
- Ability to voice out issues and propose changes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with knowledge of QuickBase and PowerBI a plus.
