Data Center Project Director

First Point Group seeks a seasoned project director to lead our data center build and operations projects. This individual will oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and high-quality results.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data center construction, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including project scope, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Provide strategic guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholders' expectations.
  • Maintain open communication channels with stakeholders, team members, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Analyze and address project performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to drive project improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in data center construction, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering best practices in Southeast Asia and electrical engineering systems for data centers.
  • Established relationships with power systems providers in Southeast Asia.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required.
