Data Center Project Director - MEP Focus

Our client is a leading developer and operator in the data center market, working closely with hyperscalers and large enterprises in several countries across Asia. They seek a project director with strong experience in data center build and construction projects (MEP focus) to join their dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be hands-on with MEP in data center build projects and proficient in scheduling and contracts.

Job Description:

The project director will be responsible for leading the project team, developing project plans, and executing the project lifecycle. The individual will work closely with stakeholders, team members, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, budget management, and high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project team, providing strategic guidance and oversight.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including project scope, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Analyze and address project performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to drive project improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in data center construction, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering best practices in Southeast Asia and electrical engineering systems for data centers.
  • Established relationships with power systems providers in Southeast Asia.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required.
