Senior Product Design Lead

HSBC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Design Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of our digital products and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of user experience and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Influence the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our digital products and services, ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Champion the use of customer-centric design methods, including Design Thinking, usability testing, and user research.
  • Drive all aspects of the design process, from research and ideation to creative conceptualization and execution.
  • Embed the use of data to inform, evaluate, and validate customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with our team of senior product designers to identify dependencies and ensure cohesive customer experiences.
  • Ensure designs meet relevant standards and governance processes.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a successful design team, shaping the way designers work and creating a space for each designer to thrive, learn, and grow.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Digital Product Design, with an impressive portfolio of world-class projects and case studies.
  • Obsess over the details of visual and interaction design, motivating teams to push boundaries and design innovative experiences.
  • Create a culture that is inclusive, open to new ideas, and inspires and empowers designers to unleash their potential.
  • Experienced leader who can confidently influence stakeholders and cross-functional teams to take a customer-centric approach.
  • Build effective relationships with people within Design and across the business.
  • Know how to ship the right experiences, raising the bar for quality through data-driven design from discovery through validation to inform design decisions.
