Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist I to join our team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our AI development team, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions using machine learning and advanced statistics to solve business problems.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing machine learning models to drive business growth and improve customer experience;
  • Influencing the AI roadmap of our organization to ensure alignment with business objectives;
  • Staying up-to-date with new approaches and trends in data science and machine learning to apply in your work;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data science, software engineering, actuarial science, business, and design;
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, science, engineering, statistics, AI, computer science, or a related field. A master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field is an asset;
  • At least 2 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistics solving business problems;
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python or R, as well as knowledge of software engineering best practices or a strong desire to learn;
  • Familiarity with the underlying theory of machine learning (supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning);
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders;
  • Unlimited curiosity and a passion to challenge the status quo;
  • Strong communication, time management, and work organization skills;
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of approximately HKD $550,000 - HKD $700,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, retirement savings plan, and flexible work arrangements.
