The Senior Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) for Group Projects will take charge of the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of all projects, particularly those that span multiple departments within the Operations function. This position demands an experienced project manager with a comprehensive grasp of project management methodologies, substantial regional project management exposure, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Candidates with experience in the life insurance sector will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary coordinator among the group office, various departments in Operations, and other stakeholders for the management and implementation of Group projects.
- Support the Head of Operation Projects in establishing the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Operations division, articulating the PMO's vision, mission, and objectives.
- Formulate and execute project management methodologies, standards, and best practices to guarantee consistent project delivery and superior outcomes.
- Conduct thorough budget monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with project directors, the IT department, and other stakeholders to align on project priorities.
- Provide regular updates and presentations on project status to senior leadership, emphasizing key milestones, risks, and accomplishments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry or financial institutions, with extensive knowledge of regional project management or implementation being advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to defined scope.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.
