Construction Manager for Retail Projects

Overview

At Turner & Townsend, we're looking for a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team and support the set-up and delivery of retail projects and programmes. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating all stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent;
  • Has 3 years' experience in the construction industry, particularly in claims management and dispute resolution;
  • Is willing to learn about NEC 4 contract provisions, procedures, and implementation;
  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities;
  • Can collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Draft high-quality correspondence primarily related to claims, delays, and additional costs;
  • Assist the QS or Planning Consultants in identifying time and cost events that impact the construction process;
  • Research, prepare, and file claim documents;
  • Collaborate with the project team to maintain all necessary records;
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team when required.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
