At KPMG China, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Expert to join our People Services team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing compensation and employment-related advice and insights to clients.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commercial mindset. Your knowledge of the Hong Kong tax system is essential, while experience in handling complex technical issues concerning employee remuneration is highly desirable.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Applying your expertise in Hong Kong legislation to client issues and preparing/reviewing tax returns and related calculations for expatriates
  • Working with clients to develop tax-efficient solutions that address their business needs
  • Utilizing your knowledge of relevant non-tax legal, financial, and business information to address client issues
  • Regularly expanding your knowledge of the tax business and staying up-to-date with the latest business and current affairs as they relate to your clients
  • Dealing with tax authority enquiries in an effective manner
About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree holder with a professional qualification (tax, legal, or accounting)
  • A minimum of 2 years' individual tax experience in a professional firm
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with an excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Possess good client relationship skills
  • Be well-organized with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and work under pressure
  • Be a self-starter and a good team player

As a Tax Expert at KPMG China, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of HKD 700,000 - HKD 1,200,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
