Job Overview

Classy Wheeler Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Development Manager - Data Center to lead the development and acquisition strategy for data center projects in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center site selection requirements and project development mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy for data center projects in Hong Kong, including land acquisition, utilities, connectivity, and government relationships.
  2. Provide strategic guidance to the Finance & Analysis team regarding resource capital budgets and project financial planning.
  3. Collaborate with various teams to support the development and launch of data centers in Hong Kong, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  4. Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify project resources and progress in Hong Kong.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with external consultants, internal stakeholders, and government agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Work closely with the Sales & Business team to understand customer demands and requirements, and incorporate them into project development.
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authorities to ensure project approval and delivery.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or equivalent work experience in data center infrastructure projects.
  2. 3+ years of experience in data center-related roles such as site selection, business development, or project development, or 5+ years of experience in developing large commercial buildings or logistics parks.
  3. Strong understanding of data center site selection requirements and project development mechanisms.
  4. Knowledge and experience with large-scale power systems and negotiation with vendors, suppliers, consultants, and government agencies.
  5. Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to perform complex business case and data analysis to justify project scope and present justifications to management.
